History
Cru was founded in 1951 by Bill Bright on the campus of UCLA. We are an inter-denominational campus ministry that is staff-coached and student-led. We have grown to have a presence on over 1,000 campuses in the US and over 191 countries in the world. Locally, there has been a ministry presence in the Triad for over a decade and partnerships with NYC and East Asia.
Cru holds to historic Christian beliefs including the authority and inspiration of the Bible, the Deity of Christ, the Trinity, and salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone. Many students in Cru are professing Christians, but we welcome all students, regardless of spiritual background. Click here for our complete statement of faith. Our mission is to turn lost students and faculty members into Christ-centered laborers. Our strategy to do this is: WIN them to Christ, BUILD them up in their faith, and SEND them out to reach others. |  |
